I’m shocked! Stunned! Not.
In the midst of all the 24/7 virus coverage, this story should not be lost as the 2020 election looms – with Pennsylvania a battleground state at the dead center of the campaign.
Here is the headline from Breitbart:
DOJ: Democrats Paid Pennsylvania Election Officials to Stuff Ballot Box
The story begins this way:
“A former Judge of Elections in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has been charged and pleaded guilty to illegally adding votes for Democrat candidates in judicial races in 2014, 2015, and 2016.
On Thursday, the Department of Justice (DOJ) announced charges against former Judge of Elections Domenick DeMuro, 73, for stuffing the ballot box for Democrats in exchange for payment by a paid political consultant.
The charges, and guilty plea, include conspiracy to deprive Philadelphia voters of their civil rights by fraudulently stuffing the ballot boxes for specific Democrat candidates in 2014, 2015, and 2016 primary elections and a violation of the Travel Act.”
The story goes on to talk about money changing hands from an unnamed Democratic Party political consultant and then this:
“‘DeMuro fraudulently stuffed the ballot box by literally standing in a voting booth and voting over and over, as fast as he could, while he thought the coast was clear,’ U.S. Attorney William McSwain said in a statement.”
It isn’t rocket science to realize that the Trump campaign and the Pennsylvania Republican Party are going to have to be on high alert as the election arrives – or the presidency can be stolen right from under their noses.
Way back there in the mists of time – the 2008 election specifically – I was writing about this problem in Pennsylvania. The headline:
Stealing Pennsylvania: “Massive Fraud”
In which I noted this:
“A retired Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice says that she is ‘not confident we can get a fair election’ in the state come November.
Justice Sandra Newman, accompanied by Dauphin County District Attorney Edward Marsico and Pennsylvania Republican State Chairman Robert Gleason, expressed her concerns at a Harrisburg press conference this morning. A thick document replete with photo copies of phony registrations and aerial shots of vacant lots used as ‘addresses’ for ‘voters’ was handed out to journalists.
Gleason was even more explicit.
‘Between March 23rd and October 1st, various groups, including ACORN, submitted over 252,595 registrations to the Philadelphia County Election Board’ with 57, 435 rejected for faulty information. ‘Most of these registrations were submitted by ACORN, and rejected due to fake social security numbers, incorrect dates of birth, clearly fraudulent signatures, addresses that do not exist, and duplicate registrations. In one case, a man was registered to vote more than 15 times since the Primary election.’
‘Voter fraud is no longer just a Philadelphia problem,” Gleason said, with ACORN targeting key counties across the state.’”
That was twelve years ago. And even with that all out in the open, we now learn that attempts to steal Pennsylvania elections have been going on in the years since in three specific elections – 2014, 2015, and 2016.
On top of this – the Leftist State Media simply pretends the problem doesn’t exist. Here, for example, is a headline from Vox just last month:
Trump’s case against mail-in voting has become increasingly desperate. His latest briefing showed it.
Pressed to produce evidence of fraud, Trump cited a “pants on fire” lie.
There was a mention of Trump being questioned on the subject of voter fraud at a White House press conference by CNN’s Jim Acosta. The story says:
“Acosta mentioned that five states (Utah, Colorado, Hawaii, Washington, and Oregon) already conduct all elections almost entirely by mail, and added, ‘You’ve been talking about voter fraud since the beginning of this administration. Where is the evidence?’”
Vox’s Aaron Rupar than adds:
“Suffice it to say, no evidence was forthcoming.”
Memo to Jim Acosta and Aaron Rupar? Meet former Philadelphia Judge of Elections Domenick DeMuro. Now indicted for “stuffing the ballot box for Democrats in exchange for payment by a paid political consultant.”
In other words? Yes, there is voter fraud. It has been around forever and a day…and it is still here.
Which is another way of saying that paying attention…not to mention a little investigative reporting or research…is a good thing.
