Around 1,400 Virginia voters don’t have to think of a scheme to cheat the voting system, because they were just handed the opportunity. According to multiple reports, the voters were simply mailed two absentee ballots each in the mail.
Fairfax, Virginia County election officials said the error occurred because there was a problem with the printer, therefore employees accidentally sent out two ballots. The Daily Caller reported that once they were made aware of the alleged mistake, “officials instructed people who received two ballots to destroy the second and noted that only one would be counted, Fox 5 DC reported.”
In a contentious election during a global pandemic, economic crisis and social justice movement, who wouldn’t want to vote twice? But this is no theoretical question being posed to a college ethics class; this is real life. President Trump and Republicans have repeatedly expressed concern about voter fraud resulting from a massive increase in mail-in-voting.
Conversely, Democrats are encouraging voters to request absentee ballots and lambasting the GOP’s concern for voter fraud. Democratic leadership is completely disregarding the notion that voting by mail could have severe consequences, for example, say 1,400 people receiving the ability to vote twice.
Democrats use the excuse of COVID-19 health concerns to defend their emphatic demands for mail-in-voting, although critics say Democrats simply know voter fraud will likely lean in their favor. Back in early May, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi proposed a $3.6 billion “Voting at Home” measure saying in-person voting “become a health issue.” Pelosi’s comments came just before Democrats supported the gathering of hundreds of thousands of people protesting in the streets after the death of George Floyd.
Gatherings composed of liberal messaging are continuously supported, while church is still considered a health risk.
