Washington Post Columnist Realizes America Doesn't Care For The Leftist State Media 1

Margaret Sullivan is anxious.

The Washington Post media columnist has penned a piece titled: Wall-to-wall impeachment coverage is not changing any minds. Here’s how journalists can reach the undecided.

In which the far-left media analyst says, in part, this:

“The diplomats have been inspiring, the legal scholars knowledgeable, the politicians predictable.

After endless on-air analysis and written reporting, pundit panels and emergency podcasts not much has changed.

If anything, weeks into the House of Representatives’ public impeachment hearings, Americans’ positions seem to have hardened on whether President Trump should be impeached and removed from office.

So, is the media coverage pointless? Are journalists merely shouting into the void?”

I can supply the answer to that.

As someone who long ago escaped Inside the Beltway and its suffocating, incestuous, elitist mindset, I am constantly stopped by Americans who, after watching all this coverage of the last few weeks – not to mention the last three years – are now absolutely determined to re-elect this president.

No, journalists of the Leftist State Media are not “merely shouting into the void.”

What they are doing is infuriating millions of Americans who have come to understand that lots- and lots! – of journalists have nothing but contempt – for them.

As someone who long ago escaped Inside the Beltway and its suffocating, incestuous, elitist mindset, I am constantly stopped by Americans who, after watching all this coverage of the last few weeks – not to mention the last three years – are now absolutely determined to re-elect this president.

As Hillary Clinton so eloquently stated, these journalistic elites see Trump supporters and others of the great unwashed as “irredeemable” and “deplorables.” And their coverage of President Trump is backfiring – big time.

As someone who long ago escaped Inside the Beltway and its suffocating, incestuous, elitist mindset, I am constantly stopped by Americans who, after watching all this coverage of the last few weeks – not to mention the last three years – are now absolutely determined to re-elect this president.

Next week, a recently announced Trump rally will take place in Hershey, Pennsylvania. I will be there. But I am reliably told that the Giant Center arena will be filled to the brim, with the usual crowd of thousands outside in the cold December Pennsylvania air celebrating as if they were tailgating at a Penn State football game.

Leftist State Media Hits Hannity, Conservative Media

Sullivan wistfully focuses on the relative handful of Americans whom she describes as “uncertain” and “persuadable.” Says she: “Maybe, just maybe, it’s the job of American journalism in this moment to get serious about trying to reach these citizens.”

Or maybe – just maybe – the media has succeeded spectacularly in reaching millions of Americans. Making them furious and determined to re-elect the President – and along the way, causing them to stop watching and paying attention to the hate-Trump media.
