Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are TIME’s 2020 ‘Person of the Year’

Biden Kamala

It’s that time of year when TIME gifts us with their opinion of ‘person of the year.’ For 2020, TIME chose not one, but two people; two people who spent the majority of 2020 at each other’s throats saying how horrible the other one was. Nonetheless, the deadline must have caught them by surprise and they chose an alleged president and vice president-elect, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. In a December 9th letter to President Trump,  22 House Republicans have asked the President to direct Attorney General William Barr to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate what is called in this corner “ElectionGate.” Texas Congressman Lance Gooden organized the group, his letter saying this: Dear President Trump, Following widespread support from my House Republican colleagues, I am again requesting that you direct Attorney General Barr to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate irregularities in the 2020 election. As with all nominees, their backgrounds come to the forefront and Fudge may have quite the sordid past. As former chair of the Congressional Black Caucus, Fudge made a reprehensible decision to act and joined “several Cleveland-area politicians” to vouch for a former Ohio

Matthew McConaughey

Actor Matthew McConaughey defended conservatives’ right to not accept a Biden win, noting the tides were turned only four short years ago. Speaking to Russell Brand on his podcast, “Under the Skin,” Brand asked McConaughey whether he noticed “condemnation and criticism of ordinary working people” in Hollywood when it comes to politics. McConaughey responded, “absolutely.” McConaughey added, “there are a lot of people on that illiberal left that absolutely condescend, patronize, and are arrogant toward the other 50 percent.” When discussing Republicans who refuse to accept Trump loss to Biden, McConaughey reminds us that liberals were in the exact same
