House Republicans Prepare New Sanctions On Iran After Attack On Israel

House Republicans have prepared a dozen bills to place new sanctions on Iran following its unprecedented attack on Israel over the weekend.   The attack occurred on Saturday when Iran fired more than 300 missiles and drones at Israel – the first time Iran has ever directly attacked the country. Iran has historically used groups like Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis to attack Israel.   Israeli and allied forces were able to shoot down 99 percent of the missiles launched by Iran. In response to Iran’s unprecedented attack on Israel over the weekend, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed President Biden for policies that sent money to Iran and helped fund the weapons they used.   Cruz made his comments during an episode of his “Verdict” podcast with co-host Ben Ferguson.  “It was the first direct attack on Israel from Iran in history and it is an extraordinary escalation of what has been going on,” Cruz said. “This tragically is the result of the Biden Foreign Policy of Appeasement and the entire Democrat Party backing away from Israel and sending billions of dollars to Iran.

The inflation rate has increased significantly over the last month as the inflation crisis that began under President Biden has continued to worsen.   According to a new report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the Consumer Price Index – a key inflation metric – increased “0.4 percent in March… Over the last 12 months, the all items index increased 3.5 percent.” That rate is nearly double the Federal Reserve’s target inflation rate of 2 percent. “The all items index rose 3.5 percent for the 12 months ending March, a larger increase than the 3.2-percent increase for the 12 months
