Schumer Covers Up for Biden Corruption

[dropcap style=”dropcap_style1″ textcolor=”#dd3333″ background=”#ffffff” fontweight=”900″]And there he goes.

Senate Democrat Leader Chuck Schumer has made it his business to cover up for the Biden corruption.

As investigative reporter Peter Schweizer’s new book that details the corruption of the Biden family hits the shelves, Schumer has made it his business to try and keep Hunter Biden from testifying.

First, here is Schumer on the subject, as reported by The Hill:

Schumer: Hunter Biden should not testify in a Senate impeachment trial

The story begins:

“Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) told CNN on Monday that former Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, should not testify in a likely Senate impeachment trial, with the Senate minority leader arguing it would result in the process becoming a ‘circus.’

Schumer’s comments came on CNN’s ‘New Day’ in an interview with co-anchor John Berman.

“ ‘No one ― not a single person I’ve heard, even those who want Hunter Biden ― have even alleged that he has knowledge of the fact case the House is presenting,’ Schumer told Berman.”

Stop. Full stop.

Ya can’t make it up…but you can try and cover it up. Which is exactly what Chuck Schumer is about.

Here is the exact language from the very first Article of Impeachment presented by House Democrats, bold print for emphasis supplied:

“Using the powers of his high office, President Trump solicited the interference of a foreign government, Ukraine, in the 2020 United States Presidential election.

He did so through a scheme or course of conduct that included soliciting the Government of Ukraine to publicly announce investigations that would benefit his reelection, harm the election prospects of a political opponent, and influence the 2020 United States Presidential election to his advantage.”

Hello? The President was asking for assistance – as required by treaty with Ukraine – in a corruption investigation into Hunter Biden and his father Joe. Joe Biden was memorably captured on videotape boasting about getting a Ukrainian prosecutor fired. The prosecutor was investigating Burisma, the company on whose board Hunter Biden sat. Joe Biden used his power as Vice President to issue a quid pro quo – either the prosecutor is fired or US aid is being withheld.

In other words, Hunter Biden and Joe Biden have considerable knowledge about, as Schumer calls it, “the case that the House is presenting.” And Schumer has every reason for his cover-up.

The news of the moment includes the detailed account from Peter Schweizer of how the Bidens have used Joe’s political power to make money for the Biden family. Here’s a headline from Breitbart on the book:

Hunter Biden’s Firms Scored Reportedly Hundreds of Millions from Russians, Chinese, and Kazakhs

And there’s more here – oh so much more. Here’s another Breitbart headline on the Schweizer book and the Bidens:

BOMBSHELL: Book to Reveal How Biden Family Siphoned ‘Millions in Taxpayer Cash’—Hunter Biden Just the ‘Tip of the Iceberg’

“A forthcoming bombshell book from publishing giant HarperCollins will reveal how five members of Joe Biden’s family—the “Biden Five”—siphoned tens of millions of dollars in taxpayer cash and guaranteed loans. And the recent scandals involving Joe and Hunter Biden, Ukraine, and Burisma are just “the tip of the iceberg,” say sources close to the publisher.

The upcoming book, Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite, is the latest investigative work from Government Accountability Institute (GAI) President and Breitbart News senior contributor Peter Schweizer.”

All of which explains exactly why Chuck Schumer is so adamantly opposed to having Hunter Biden grilled by the Trump lawyers – because it would open up, on the floor of the U.S. Senate and in full view of the television cameras, the story of the Biden family business.

In which Joe’s power as vice president was leveraged around the world to build the family fortune.

Ya can’t make it up.

But you can try and cover it up. Which is exactly what Chuck Schumer is about.
