REPORT: Dossier Creator’s Email and Evidence “Wiped”

Christopher Steele

The Daily Caller reports that the author of the anti-Trump dossier, Christopher Steele, told the British courts that he no longer has access to the documents he used to put together the dossier. Steele purportedly told the courts that all of his emails that are pertinent to the dossier were wiped in December of 2016 and January of 2017.

Steele stated that all of his communications with Fusion GPS, the company that paid him to develop the dossier, were deleted on January 5, 2017, just 15 days before President-Elect Donald Trump was sworn in. With all of his notes and emails pertaining to the dossier being deleted or “no longer exist,” Steele is asking for the world and the courts to believe him and his contradictory statements.

The documents do not reveal who is responsible for the emails and the destruction of the documents. Still, for many, this seems too coincidental. If Steele believed his evidence and sources were so convincing, one would think he would make multiple copies of his emails and evidence to avoid them getting wiped like Hillary Clinton’s private email servers.

When The Daily Caller reached out to Steele’s attorney, he did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
