Democratic New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has demanded Democratic New York City Governor Andrew Cuomo apologize to the New York Police Department. On 1010 Wins talk radio yesterday, de Blasio said Cuomo “dishonored the men and women of the NYPD in an absolutely inappropriate way for any leader to do.”
While the majority of celebrities are chastising white America from the safety of their own homes whilst bailing protestors out of jail and encouraging you to do the same, Kanye West has different plans. The rapper has found a way to actually make a difference in the horrendously sad absence created by George Floyd’s murder.
Why stop in Minneapolis? How about all those mayors around the country who may be chiming in on this? Why not remove their own police security? In Los Angeles, Mayor Eric Garcetti is cutting the police budget. There’s an easy cut to make, Mayor Garcetti. Just get rid of your own protection and that of City Hall. And why stop with local police?
