On Thursday, federal authorities announced the arrest of a northern Virginia man accused of placing two pipe bombs outside the Democratic and Republican National Committee headquarters on the eve of the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021 — a case that had gone cold under the Biden Administration. Attorney General Pam Bondi named the suspect as Brian Cole Jr., a 30-year-old from Woodbridge, Virginia. She said he has been charged with use of an explosive device and noted that more charges could follow as the investigation continues. Cole is the first person arrested in the years-long search. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem dropped a political bomb in Tuesday’s Cabinet meeting, a moment that seemed to hush the room before it rattled it. She told President Trump that half of all visa applications in Minnesota are “fraudulent.” Noem placed the blame, firmly and without hesitation, on Gov. Tim Walz. “You told me to look into Minnesota and their fraud on visas and their programs: 50% of them are fraudulent, which means that that wacko Gov. Walz either is an idiot or he did it on purpose — and I think he’s both, sir,” Noem said, drawing chuckles around

According to an AP News report, Lakanwal, who is accused of shooting two National Guard members in Washington, D.C., over the holiday, couldn’t keep a job, spent long stretches shut off from his own family, and took sudden cross-country trips without explanation. His behavior alarmed people around him. One community advocate even contacted a refugee organization out of concern that his instability was escalating. Those concerns now look stark. When the same advocate saw Lakanwal identified as the suspect in the attack near the White House, they were stunned — but

The Georgia election case has finally flamed out. The election interference prosecution against President Trump and his allies was quietly sealed shut on Wednesday, not with a dramatic courtroom clash but with the prosecutor admitting the fight was over. The man now in charge, Peter Skandalakis, stepped forward only after no one else would — and found himself alone at the helm of a sinking ship. He called the case “on life support,” and in a 23-page motion asked the court to dismiss every charge against President Trump and 14 co-defendants. Skandalakis concluded the matter belonged at the federal level
