Putin prepares to strike back at Ukraine.

An investigation by the Associated Press has found that around 600 people, and potentially far more, were killed in the Russian attack on a Mariupol theater in Ukraine where hundreds of civilians had been sheltering. “Amid all the horrors that have unfolded in the war on Ukraine, the Russian bombing of the Donetsk Academic Regional Drama Theater in Mariupol on March 16 stands out as the single deadliest known attack against civilians to date,” The Associated Press reported. “An Associated Press investigation has found evidence that the attack was in fact far deadlier than estimated, killing closer to 600 people inside and outside the building.

On Wednesday, the Federal Reserve raised interest rates by half a percentage point and announced a plan to reduce its bond holdings in an attempt to fight the ongoing inflation crisis that began shortly after Democrat President Joe Biden took office. “Wednesday’s move marked the Fed’s largest interest rate increase since 2000, and by shrinking its nearly $9 trillion balance sheet at the same time, the Fed is rapidly withdrawing support from the economy. Together, the policies are likely to ricochet through markets and the economy as money becomes more expensive to borrow,” The New York Times reported. “The quick

Chief Justice John Roberts has launched an investigation into the leak of the Supreme Court’s draft of the majority opinion overturning Roe v. Wade, saying that it was an “egregious breach” of the trust of the Court. In the majority opinion draft, which was leaked to Politico, Justice Samuel Alito writes that “Roe and Casey must be overruled. The Constitution makes no reference to abortion, and no such right is implicitly protected by any constitutional provision, including the one on which the defenders of Roe and Casey now chiefly rely—the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.” “Roe was egregiously wrong

The Supreme Court has voted to strike down the controversial Roe v. Wade decision, which ruled that the Constitution protects a woman’s ability to have an abortion, according to a leaked draft of the majority opinion obtained by Politico. The draft, written by Justice Samuel Alito, “is a full-throated, unflinching repudiation of the 1973 decision which guaranteed federal constitutional protections of abortion rights and a subsequent 1992 decision – Planned Parenthood v. Casey – that largely maintained the right,” Politico reported. “Deliberations on controversial cases have in the past been fluid. Justices can and sometimes do change their votes as draft
