New Democrat Bill Says LGBTQ Illegal Aliens ‘May Not Be Detained’

A new bill introduced by Democrats in the House and Senate this week would restrict the ability to hold illegal immigrants in custody if they are a “vulnerable person,” which includes those who are homosexual or transgender, or who don’t speak English.  The Dignity for Detained Immigrants Act, from Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA), and Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), was introduced with the goal of setting minimum standards for detention facilities where thousands of illegal immigrants are detained as they await processing.
