US Attorney Says Hunter Biden Investigation ‘Ongoing’ Despite Plea Deal

The investigation into President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, is continuing despite a plea deal, according to a press release from Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss. “The investigation is ongoing,” the press release from Weiss’ team said Tuesday. It also announced that Hunter had been charged with and is pleading guilty to two misdemeanor tax offenses and a felony firearm offense. Hunter is not expected to face any jail time and will be given two years of probation, as part of the deal. He will also enter a diversion program after admitting the illegal purchase of a firearm in 2018.

Democrat President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, has reportedly reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors as part of a multi-year long investigation.  Hunter will plead guilty to two misdemeanor tax crimes and admit the facts of a gun charge, according to a new report from The Washington Post. In the plea deal, which was negotiated in a deal with Delaware U.S. Attorney David Weiss, Hunter will plead guilty to failing to pay about $100,000 in taxes for 2017 and for failing to pay a similar amount in 2018.
