Goodyear Tire Training Audio Leaked: All, Blue, White Lives Matter and MAGA Attire ‘Unacceptable’

Goodyear Tire and Rubber company made waves earlier this week when an alleged training slide used in the company was leaked earlier this week. The diversity training slide was an explanation of its “zero-tolerance” policy. In the “acceptable” column was “Black Lives Matter and Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Bisexual Pride.” The “unacceptable” column included “Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter, MAGA Attire, Political Affiliated Slogans or Material.”

The “training” slide is enough of an indication as to the bias and backward policy from the company. However, that appears to be the tip of the iceberg. Newly released audio was posted by WIBW-TV in Topeka, Kansas on which you can hear the voice of an instructor telling employees only the “right” kind of views on social justice is allowed.

“Some people may wish to express their views on social justice or inequity or equity issues such as black lives matter or LGBTQ pride on their face coverings, shirts or wristbands,” says the instructor. “That will be deemed approved because it applies with a zero-tolerance stance,”

What is not acceptable? The trainer continues, “if any associate wears all, blue, white lives matter shirts or face coverings, that will not be appropriate.” In the audio, the instructor is heard suggesting the policy is to encourage harmony in the factory.

The instructor is heard saying: “The rules around now what you can wear. Let’s try and comply with these so you know everybody feels good in this factory. I want to make sure guys, think about what we do in this factory, in this factory right…we all work together to make tires, that’s what we do. That’s what we get paid to do. So, let’s continue to do that and do the right thing and keep this place what it has always been, a good place to work.”
