Liberal late-night talk show host and comedian John Oliver is getting the respect he deserves from a Connecticut town. Oliver, the British TV host who loves to join the Hollywood elite in bashing the United States, went on an expletive-filled rant about Danbury, Connecticut. Taking it upon himself, Oliver made racial accusations against the town, particularly in the jury selection process.
“I know exactly three things about Danbury,” said Oliver. “USA Today ranked it the second-best city to live in in 2015, it was once the center of the American hat industry and if you’re from there, you have a standing invite to come get a thrashing from John Oliver – children included – (expletive) you.” Where is the outrage, the boycotters, and the call to cancel his show for inciting violence against children? Nothing but crickets coming from the left.
Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton took action to repay Oliver for his attack. Taking to his Facebook page over the weekend, Mayor Boughton released a forty-eight-second video from a sewage treatment plant, announcing they are naming it after the HBO “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” host. “Today I am proud to announce our fourth point of interest. Behind me you’ll see the city of Danbury sewer plant” said Boughton as the video pans to show the large plant.
“We are going to rename it the John Oliver Memorial Sewer Plant,” said Boughton. “Why? Because it’s full of crap just like you, John.”
