CNN Van Jones Says ‘It’s the White, Liberal Hillary Clinton Supporter’ Not KKK That Post Threat to African Americans

Van Jones

As violent protests erupt across the country over the horrendous killing of George Floyd by a police officer in Minneapolis, the topic of race is driving media discussion. One surprising comment came from CNN’s Van Jones on Friday. “It’s not the racist white person, who is in the Ku Klux Klan that we have to worry about;” a shocking comment from Van Jones, who is a black man.

Who do African Americans have to worry about? Van Jones continued, “it’s the white, liberal Hillary Clinton supporter walking her dog in Central Park who would tell you right now, ‘Oh I don’t see race, race is no big deal to me, I see all people the same, I give to charities’ but the minute she sees a black man who she does not respect, or who she has a slight thought against, she weaponized race like she had been taught by the Aryan Nation” exclaimed Van Jones.

Taught “by the Aryan Nation” is pointed rhetoric. Van Jones goes even further to say, “a Klan member could not have been better trained to pick up her phone and tell the police it’s a black man…come get him.” Van Jones is referencing a story that went viral last week when a black man, Christian Cooper, posted a video he took of a woman, Amy Cooper, who called the police on him during a heated verbal argument after he asked her to put her dog on a leash in Central Park.

“Even the most liberal, well-intentioned white person” has a racist “virus” in the brain that can be “activated at an instant,” said Van Jones. “What you’re seeing now is a curtain falling away. Those of us who have been burdened by this every minute, every second of our entire lives are fragile right now…we are tired” he added.
