The school shooting that resulted in the deaths of at least 19 children and 2 teachers on Tuesday was ended by a U.S. Border Patrol agent who rushed into the school and killed the shooter without waiting for backup.
“A Border Patrol agent who was nearby when the shooting began rushed into the school without waiting for backup and shot and killed the gunman, who was behind a barricade,” the Associated Press reported. “The agent was wounded but able to walk out of the school.”
Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin confirmed the news, adding that the agent was “an elite BORTAC Border Patrol agent.”
