“After testing negative this week, Speaker Pelosi received a positive test result for COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic,” Drew Hammill, Pelosi’s deputy chief of staff, tweeted. “The Speaker is fully vaccinated and boosted, and is thankful for the robust protection the vaccine has provided.”

“The Speaker will quarantine consistent with CDC guidance, and encourages everyone to get vaccinated, boosted and test regularly,” Hammill continued, later adding, “A planned Congressional delegation to Asia, led by @SpeakerPelosi , will be postponed to a later date.”

Fox News White House correspondent Jacqui Heinrichs responded to the news, noting, “Pelosi was on stage, unmasked with POTUS yesterday at the postal service reform act bill signing – inches away from him.”

Multiple other Democrats have tested positive for COVID-19 after attending the event, as noted by Axios.
