President Donald Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One on Thursday that he isn’t surprised Russian President Vladimir Putin didn’t personally attend peace talks with Ukraine in Turkey this week. Trump pushed Putin to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for peace talks — but Vlad ultimately brushed it off, sending aides in his place. “Look, nothing’s going to happen until Putin and I get together. Okay?” Trump said aboard Air Force One when asked about the upcoming meeting. “And obviously, he wasn’t going to go. He was going to go — but he thought I was going to go.

State-run Qatar Airways inked a massive deal with Boeing on Wednesday during President Donald Trump’s visit to Doha. Trump announced the agreement was worth $200 billion and included 160 American-made jets. He and Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani attended the signing ceremony in the Gulf capital. Trump said Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg, who signed the deal with Qatar Airways CEO Badr Mohammed Al-Meer next to Trump and the Qatari emir, told him “it’s the largest order of jets in the history of Boeing, that’s good”. According to a New York Post report, Secretary of State Marco Rubio will attend peace talks between Russia and Ukraine in Turkey this week. Trump initially suggested he might go himself.
