SCOTUS Declines to Hear Case of Sandy Hook Victims v. AR-15 Manufacturer

Today the Supreme Court turned away an appeal made by the firearm company Remington Arms Co., who manufactures the AR-15 used in the Sandy Hook school massacre. The suit is an emotional plea made by the families of the Sandy Hook victims to be allowed to sue Remington and hold them liable as the “maker and promoter” of the rifle. The case, which originated in Connecticut where the shooting occurred, has been bouncing around the courts since December of 2014.
