By now, the outrageous video is everywhere. It shows Minneapolis resident George Floyd, suspected of passing a counterfeit twenty-dollar bill, lying prone on the ground, handcuffed, as Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin kneels on his neck. Floyd is begging for mercy, gasping that he can’t breathe.
As violent protests erupt across the country over the horrendous killing of George Floyd by a police officer in Minneapolis, the topic of race is driving media discussion. One surprising comment came from CNN’s Van Jones on Friday. “It’s not the racist white person, who is in the Ku Klux Klan that we have to worry about;” a shocking comment from Van Jones, who is a black man.
The, uh, rather large problems here? First, mail-in voting fraud is decidedly NOT unsubstantiated. It doesn’t take long to find two separate, quite reputable stories reporting that there is indeed a very real, very substantiated problem with mail-in voting fraud.
