On Wednesday, NBA player LeBron James posted a photo of the Columbus police officer who saved the life of an unarmed girl by shooting her attacker, a black teenage girl armed with a knife, with the caption, “YOU’RE NEXT. #ACCOUNTABILITY.” [adsanity_group num_ads=”1″ align=”aligncenter” num_columns=”1″ group_ids=”2381″/] The National Fraternal Order of Police responded to his tweet, writing, “@KingJames, with his vast resources & influence, should educate himself and, frankly, has a responsibility to do so, on the facts before weighing in. This is disgraceful & extremely reckless. The officer saved a young girl’s life. No amount of gaslighting will change that

The Columbus Police Department has released an officer’s bodycam video of Tuesday’s shooting of Makiyah Bryant, an armed teenage black girl, by a police officer. Said Waters in her customarily inflammatory style: “We’ve got to stay on the street and we’ve got to get more active, we’ve got to get more confrontational.” [adsanity_group num_ads=”1″ align=”aligncenter” num_columns=”1″ group_ids=”2381″/] The Chauvin jury is, of course, sequestered. But one

On Monday, Judge Peter Cahill, who is the presiding judge on the Derek Chauvin case involving the death of George Floyd, said that comments made by Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) over the weekend could result to the “whole trial being overturned” on appeal. “And it is so pervasive that it is I just don’t know how this jury it can really be said to be that they are free from the taint of this,” the lawyer representing Derek Chauvin said. “And now that we have U.S. representatives, threatening acts of violence in relation to the specific case, it’s mind boggling
