Similar to virtually every social media user in the country, Jennifer Siebel Newsom took to Twitter to express her thoughts on the announced verdict. On Tuesday, the United Nations voted to elect China and Iran to the Commission on the Status of Women, which is “exclusively dedicated to the promotion of gender equality and the empowerment of women.” Iran is one of the most oppressive countries to women on Earth.
