On Thursday, the White House announced new sanctions on Russian oligarchs, as the United States continues to punish Russia for its ongoing invasion of Ukraine. The new sanctions will be placed on “Putin’s cronies and their family members” who have been profiting from Putin’s violent regime. Full blocking sanctions will target eight “Russian elites and their family members who enable Putin.” “Today, the United States, in coordination with Allies and partners, is targeting additional Russian elites and family members who continue supporting President Putin despite his brutal invasion of Ukraine,” the White House said in a statement. “These individuals have

Joe Biden

During his State of the Union address on Tuesday night, President Joe Biden said that he will “always” have the backs of “younger transgender Americans” so that they can “be [themselves] and reach [their] God-given potential.” “And for our LGBTQ+ Americans, let’s finally get the bipartisan Equality Act to my desk. The onslaught of state laws targeting transgender Americans and their families is wrong,” Biden said. “As I said last year, especially to our younger transgender Americans, I will always have your back as your President, so you can be yourself and reach your God-given potential.” Biden promises "younger transgender
