Biden Announces ISIS Leader Killed In U.S. Raid In Syria

On Thursday, U.S. forces killed ISIS leader Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi in northwestern Syria. “U.S. Special Operations forces under the control of U.S. Central Command conducted a counterterrorism mission this evening in northwest Syria.  The mission was successful.  There were no U.S. casualties. More information will be provided as it becomes available,” Pentagon Press Secretary John Kirby said in a statement. Biden Deploying 3,000 Troops To Europe As Ukraine-Russia Tensions Rise

The Biden administration will reportedly be deploying more than 3,000 U.S. troops to European countries in an effort to bolster defenses around Ukraine as Russia continues to threaten to invade the country. According to The Wall Street Journal, U.S. officials said that “Biden is sending roughly 2,000 troops from Fort Bragg, N.C., to Poland and Germany this week and repositioning about 1,000 troops that are part of a Germany-based infantry Stryker squadron to Romania, on the North Atlantic Treaty Organization’s eastern flank closest to Russia.” The forces are expected to be deployed in the next few days.
