Tesla CEO and billionaire Elon Musk has sent a formal letter to Twitter’s Chairman of the Board Bret Taylor offering to acquire the company for $54.20 per share, or about $43 billion. In the letter, Musk stressed the importance of free speech and how he believed Twitter should be the global “platform for free speech.” “I invested in Twitter as I believe in its potential to be the platform for free speech around the globe, and I believe free speech is a societal imperative for a functioning democracy,” Musk said in the letter, referring to his recent decision to become Twitter’s

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz (R) declared Washington, D.C., a “border town” after Texas dropped off its first illegal immigrants on Wednesday morning just blocks from the U.S. Capitol. On an annual basis, inflation hit 8.5% – higher than the already elevated Dow Jones estimate of 8.4%, according to CNBC. “Increases in the indexes for gasoline, shelter, and food were the largest contributors to the seasonally adjusted all items increase,” the CPI report said. “The gasoline index rose

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, seen above last year, made the startling allegations at a press conference on April 7, 2021.

On Monday, Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott slammed President Joe Biden’s “lackluster leadership” and promised to maintain a “law-and-order state” by working to secure the border. “Texans demand and deserve an aggressive, comprehensive strategy to secure our border—not President Biden’s lackluster leadership,” Abbott said during a speech at the Texas Border Sheriffs Coalition Spring Meetings in El Paso. “As the federal government continues to roll back commonsense policies that once kept our communities safe, our local law enforcement has stepped up to protect Texans from dangerous criminals, deadly drugs, and illegal contraband flooding into the Lone Star State. Texas will always be
