Inflation at the wholesale level continued to worsen in June as producer prices soared a near-record amount from a year ago, according to a new report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Producer Price Index (PPI), which measures the prices received for final demand products, “increased 1.1 percent in June… This rise followed advances of 0.9 percent in May and 0.4 percent in April,” the report states. “On an unadjusted basis, final demand prices moved up 11.3 percent for the 12 months ended in June, the largest increase since a record 11.6-percent jump in March 2022,” the report adds.

On Wednesday, President Biden arrived in Israel to begin a tour of the Middle East. During his arrival speech, he completely failed to pronounce the name of the Jerusalem Holocaust museum Yad Vashem and accidentally said that we must “keep alive the truth and honor of the Holocaust” rather than the “horror of the Holocaust.” “Later today, I will once more return to the hallowed ground of Yad Sh- — Vashem to honor the 6 million Jewish lives that were stolen in a genocide and continue — which we must do every, every day — continue to bear witness, to keep

The number was even worse than economists expected, according to CNBC. “The consumer price index, a broad measure of everyday goods and services related to the cost of living, soared 9.1% from a year ago, above the 8.8% Dow Jones estimate,” CNBC reported. “Excluding volatile food and

On Tuesday, First Lady Jill Biden apologized for her comments the previous day comparing the diversity of the Hispanic community in the United States to tacos, flowers, and corner stores during a speech in San Antonio, Texas. During an event called the “Latinx IncluXion Luncheon,” Biden said that the diversity of the Hispanic community is “as distinct as the bodegas of the Bronx, as beautiful as the blossoms of Miami, and as unique as the breakfast tacos here in San Antonio, is your strength.” At a "Latinx IncluXion" conference, Jill Biden says the Hispanic community is as "unique" as tacos.pic.twitter.com/Vb5wJyYGWB
