During an interview with Norah O’Donnell on “CBS Evening News,” Republican presidential candidate and  Florida Governor Ron DeSantis slammed both political parties over U.S. government spending, saying that both parties are responsible for the inflation crisis that began under President Biden.  DeSantis made his comments when asked how he would bring inflation down. “Stop spending so much money,” he said. “We need a president that’s going to be a force for spending restraint, because that’s one of the root causes with Congress spending so much. Two, open up domestic energy production. Energy costs are a huge part of inflation.” O’Donnell
