This week, far-left Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) complained about the changes on Twitter being implemented by the new Twitter CEO Elon Musk. Her complaints were quickly shut down by Musk.
Ocasio-Cortez’s complaints came in response to the news that Musk intends to charge users $8 per month to get the blue verified checkmark. She said that the move will somehow restrict free speech, even though unverified users are still able to Tweet.
“Lmao at a billionaire earnestly trying to sell people on the idea that ‘free speech’ is actually a $8/mo subscription plan,” Ocasio-Cortez tweeted.
Musk responded, “Your feedback is appreciated, now pay $8.”
Musk added a screenshot of a hoodie that Ocasio-Cortez sells online that costs $58.

Musk has had similar responses to those who have complained about the change, writing on Twitter, “To all complainers, please continue complaining, but it will cost $8.”
