Ya can’t make it up. The so-called “Lincoln Project” – the Never Trump “Republicans” – have been caught peddling Iranian propaganda.

The group tweeted out the following:

“The Proud Boys are attempting to scare voters away from the polls.

This is punishable by up to a year in jail and a blatant attempt to keep people from voting.

Let’s find them and make them famous.”

The, ah, problem? Fox News headlined it this way:

Anti-Trump Lincoln Project shared content US later ID’d as Iranian disinformation

The story said:

“The Lincoln Project, an anti-Trump Republican political action committee, shared content on Twitter about the president’s supporters that U.S. intelligence officials later labeled as Iranian disinformation. The posts, which cited emails threatening Democratic voters that purportedly came from the right-wing group Proud Boys, were actually part of an influence operation generated by the Islamic Republic, according to Director of National Intelligence John Ratcliffe and FBI Director Christopher Wray.”

Got that? The Lincoln Project peddled propaganda from Iran.

Recall what they said in their Tweet? This:

“Let’s find them and make them famous.”

How about we take the Lincoln Project’s own advice? Let’s make the Lincoln Project peddlers of Iranian disinformation famous. Here are the leaders of The Lincoln Project, with their self-provided bios.  They include:

George Conway – Washington lawyer and Washington Post contributing columnist.

Reed Galen – Independent political strategist who has worked for President George W. Bush, Senator John McCain and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger

Jennifer Horn – Strategy consultant, former Chairman of the New Hampshire Republican Party, Co-Chair of the New Hampshire Log Cabin Republicans and current columnist for the New Hampshire Union Leader.

Rick Wilson – A “seasoned Republican strategist”, author and current Editor-at-Large of The Daily Beast.

And there’s more on the Lincoln Project team, all to be found at that link they have thoughtfully provided.

Impressive group, yes? All so smart.

They are now forever famous as dupes for Iran’s Mullah’s.

Well done, Lincoln Project. Well done.
