Tom Hanks Can’t Save Biden From Himself; Forgets Inauguration Date In Bizarre Story

It’s cute when celebrities know their Democratic presidential candidate needs their help. Desperately. Tom Hanks lent himself to the Biden-Harris campaign in an online fundraising event during this week’s Democratic National Convention. Hanks posted a flier of the event to his 9.7 million followers on Instagram which read: “Grassroots Fest with Vice President Joe Biden and Tom Hanks.”

The Democratic party hoped that with a celebrity of Hanks’ stature, surely anything Biden said would be overshadowed by the star power. But that was not the case. Biden’s overall demeanor and mumbling speech were consistent with his past behavior and growing number of misstatements. Each time Biden speaks, there truly is reason for concern about his mental health.

One poll released in June found that a majority of voters “now believe Biden is ‘in the early stages of dementia” reported Breitbart. When speaking to Hanks, Biden once again made errors which “were merely the latest in a growing list of audible misstatements from the presidential hopeful” writes Breitbart.

“Some of his most recent flubs include forgetting that we are currently living in the year 2020, claiming 600,000 people have died from the coronavirus and describing himself as a candidate for the United States Senate.”

While speaking to Hanks, Biden cannot recall his inauguration as vice president in 2009, while telling a confusing and nonsensical story. “I quit, I became a public defender. And I used to have to interview my clients down by the train station…and 40 years later to the month, in January of 2018, I found myself in a circumstance where, uh, I mean excuse me, 2012. I found myself standing in the same spot I stood 40 years earlier” Biden told Hanks.

“I was lookin’ I was waiting for a train to come…to the left of my view was southwest, southeast, Wilmington which had been burnt to the ground, and it’s back and flourishing. And I looked across, they call the third street bridge, to an all-black community which in fact is back up, still has some troubles” added Biden as Hanks politely listened and nodded.

“And I was waiting for a black man, Tom, to come and pick me up from Philadelphia. A guy named Barack Obama. On the 17th January, to take me to Washington, a trip I’ve made a thousand times commuting every day, to be sworn in as president and vice president.” Unfortunately, Biden was not inaugurated in 2012. The two ceremonies for the Obama administration were held in 2009 and 2013.
