“Texas has bused over 15,900 migrants to sanctuary cities,” Abbott tweeted.
He said that his state has bused over 8,900 migrants to Washington, D.C., over 4,900 migrants to New York City, over 1,500 migrants to Chicago, and over 630 migrants to Philadelphia.

The news comes shortly after Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced that border officials encountered 233,740 migrants attempting to illegally cross the southern border last month – the highest number of encounters ever seen in the month of November.
Both October and November set all time records for migrant encounters in their respective months. The data sets fiscal year 2023 on track to break the annual record for migrant encounters at the southern border which was set in fiscal year 2022 when 2,378,944 migrants were encountered by border officials. Fiscal year 2022 dwarfed the previous record of 1,734,686 migrant encounters that had been set in 2021 – Biden’s first year in office.
