During Tuesday’s press briefing, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that President Biden is “the best communicator” in the White House.

Jean-Pierre’s remarks came in response to a reporter asking about the president’s strengths.

“I will tell you this: The president is the best communicator that we have in the White House,” Jean-Pierre claimed.

Jean-Pierre’s remarks were widely considered strange since Biden is known for just the opposite, with his trademark gaffes being an expectation every time he gives a speech.

During a speech in July 2022 about climate change, for example, Biden told Americans that he had cancer. He didn’t have cancer and it is unclear why he said he did.

“You had to put on your windshield wipers to get, literally, the oil slick off the window,” Biden said, recalling how refineries he grew up near would cause pollution.

“That’s why I and so damn many other people I grew up have cancer,” he said.

That same month, Biden visited Israel where he gave a speech discussing the Yad Vashem World Holocaust Remembrance Center in Jerusalem and made an offensive gaffe about the Holocaust.

“I will once more return to the hollow ground of Yad Shav… — Vashem to honor the 6 million Jewish lives were stolen in a genocide,” he said.

“And continue — which we must do every, every day — continue to bear witness, to keep alive the truth and honor of the Holocaust” Biden added, before correcting himself to say “horror of the Holocaust” instead.
