President Trump unloaded on Harvard on Wednesday morning amid escalating tensions after Trump 2.0 stripped the Ivy League institution of $2.2 billion dollars in federal funding.
Trump shredded the Cambridge, MA school for hiring “leftist dopes” like former New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio and former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot.
“Everyone knows that Harvard has ‘lost its way’,” Trump said on Truth Social early Wednesday.
“They hired, from New York (Bill D) and Chicago (Lori L), at ridiculously high salaries/fees, two of the WORST and MOST INCOMPETENT mayors in the history of our Country, to ‘teach’ municipal management and government.
“These two Radical Left fools left behind two cities that will take years to recover from their incompetence and evil. Harvard has been hiring almost all woke, Radical Left, idiots and ‘birdbrains’ who are only capable of teaching FAILURE to students and so-called ‘future leaders.’”
According to The New York Post, the school hired de Blasio as a teaching fellow at the university’s schools of government and public health in 2022 after his Big Apple mayoral term ended.
Meanwhile, Lightfoot — who served as Chicago’s mayor from 2019 to 2023 — was employed as a teaching fellow at the university’s school of public health for the 2023 fall semester.
“Many others, like these Leftist dopes, are teaching at Harvard, and because of that, Harvard can no longer be considered even a decent place of learning, and should not be considered on any list of the World’s Great Universities or Colleges,” Trump continued.
“Harvard is a JOKE, teaches Hate and Stupidity, and should no longer receive Federal Funds.”
Trump’s comments come after the federal government revealed it was freezing more than $2.2 billion in grants and $60 million in contracts to Harvard after the institution said it would defy the Trump administration’s demands to curtail antisemitism on campus.
In another anti-Harvard post this week, Trump called for the college to lose its tax-exempt status.
“Perhaps Harvard should lose its Tax Exempt Status and be Taxed as a Political Entity if it keeps pushing political, ideological, and terrorist inspired/supporting “Sickness?” Remember, Tax Exempt Status is totally contingent on acting in the PUBLIC INTEREST!”
