Is it time for taxpayers to stop footing the bill for these far-left mouthpieces?
President Donald Trump is no fan of NPR and PBS. Forty-Seven took to TRUTH Social early Thursday morning to encourage the GOP to defund the media companies after a revealing hearing on the Hill.
Trump went after the “biased platforms” in a TRUTH Social post:
NPR and PBS, two horrible and completely biased platforms (Networks!), should be DEFUNDED by Congress, IMMEDIATELY. Republicans, don’t miss this opportunity to rid our Country of this giant SCAM, both being arms of the Radical Left Democrat Party. JUST SAY NO AND, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!
Mr. Trump was likely reacting to now-viral clips of NPR CEO Katherine Maher and PBS President Paula Kerger outing themselves as far-left ideologues during Wednesday’s committee hearing.
During one exchange between Maher and Texas Rep. Brandon Gill, the congressman reminded Maher of past radical comments she made on X.
GILL: Do you believe that America is addicted to white supremacy?
MAHER: I believe that I tweeted that and, as I’ve said earlier, I believe much of my thinking has evolved over the last half decade and has evolved… …
GILL: Do you believe that America believes in black plunder and white democracy?
MAHER: I don’t believe that sir.
GILL: You tweeted that in reference to a book you were reading at the time, apparently ‘The Case for Reparations.’
MAHER: I don’t think I’ve ever read that book, sir.
GILL: You tweeted about it. You said you took a day off to fully read ‘The Case for Reparations.’ You posted that on Twitter in January of 2020… …
GILL: Do you believe that white people inherently feel superior to other races?
MAHER: I do not.
GILL: You tweeted something to that effect. You said: ‘I grew up feeling superior (hah, how white of me)’ Why did you tweet that?

During another tense moment, Rep. James Comer (R-KY) unloaded on NPR, saying, “”I don’t even recognize the station anymore. It’s not news, I feel like it’s propaganda. I feel like there’s disinformation every time I listen to NPR.”

Peach State Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene took issue with PBS for platforming a drag queen called Lil Miss Hot Mess; “If I walked in my living room and saw this child predator, this monster targeting my children, I would become unglued,” MTG said.
