During a White House press briefing this week, Press Secretary Jen Psaki refused to address former President Donald Trump’s comments about how  “Joe Biden has sold out America’s children to the teachers unions” because of President Biden’s “indifference” to “the critical matter of getting America’s children back to school.”

One more question, former President Trump speaking over the weekend at CPAC … he said, ‘President Joe Biden sold out America’s children to the teacher’s union,’” a reporter said. “How does the White House respond to that?”

“I think we’re going to do, ugh, spend more of our time focused on communicating about our agenda for the American people than responding to criticism from the former president,” Psaki responded.

Biden, who received more money from teachers’ unions than any other 2020 presidential candidate, has frequently adapted his COVID policy to please the unions and ignored the science. Earlier this year, for example, Biden declined to tell Chicago teachers to return to school following a union vote to defy a school district order requiring teachers to return to campuses for in-person learning in January.
