On Tuesday, President Donald Trump and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth shared details on the “Golden Dome” — Trump’s Reagan-era plan to protect America from missile attacks.

“Today, I’m pleased to announce we have officially selected an architecture for this state-of-the-art system that will deploy next-generation technologies across the land, sea, and space, including space-based sensors and interceptors,” Trump said.

Trump also announced Canada is interested in investing in the system.

“It should be operational by the ned of my term,” Trump said.

“Once fully constructed, the ‘Golden Dome’ will be capable of intercepting missiles, even if they are launched from the other side of the world — even if they are launched from space,” Trump added.

“We will be completing the project President Reagan started forty years ago.”
