President Trump on Wednesday unveiled the new “Presidential Walk of Fame” along the West Wing Colonnade, lining the passage with gold-framed portraits of the 45 men who have led the United States — capped by a sharp rebuke of former President Joe Biden, represented only by an image of an autopen.
“The Presidential Walk of Fame has arrived on the West Wing Colonnade. Wait for it…” tweeted Trump special assistant Margo Martin, sharing a video that panned past George Washington nearest the residence, through the long line of presidents, to Trump himself — and finally the autopen.

Trump, 79, personally inspected the installation, according to a photo posted by the official White House account. The Colonnade, bordering the Rose Garden and linking the residence to the Oval Office, had been resurfaced in preparation for the display.
The choice to depict Biden, 82, with an autopen had been planned for weeks. It reflects Trump’s repeated criticism of his predecessor’s reliance on the electronic signing device, which he has cited to question whether aides improperly used Biden’s signature during his alleged cognitive decline.
Biden abandoned his re-election bid last year after Democratic allies raised alarms about his fitness for office. He has maintained he remained in control and personally authorized the autopen’s use.
While auto-penned signatures carry full legal authority when authorized by a president, Biden White House emails show both internal and Justice Department concerns that the then-president did not review “specific documents” in a batch of clemency orders issued in January.
