Trump opened the morning with a bang.
President Trump hit TRUTH Social on Thursday, blasting a viral video of Democratic lawmakers urging troops to defy “illegal orders.” His response was sharp and urgent.
“This is really bad, and Dangerous to our Country. Their words cannot be allowed to stand. SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR FROM TRAITORS!!! LOCK THEM UP??? President DJT”
Trump followed up with another post: “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!”
The video features six Democrats: Senators Elissa Slotkin and Mark Kelly, along with Representatives Jason Crow, Maggie Goodlander, Chris Deluzio, and Chrissy Houlahan. They say the threats to the Constitution are “from right here at home.”
They tell military and intelligence personnel to “refuse illegal orders.” They do not say what orders they mean. Or who would give them. But what they’re suggesting sounds like an insurrection.
Tennessee Sen. Marsha Blackburn called the message “inconceivable.” On Fox News, she reminded viewers that service members take an oath — and follow lawful commands to carry out their mission. To suggest otherwise, she said, is a step onto thin ice.
“It is inconceivable that you would have elected officials that are saying to uniformed members of the military who have taken an oath that they would defy the orders that they have been given to execute their mission,” Blackburn said.
Similarly, War Secretary Pete Hegseth responded to the video on social media, saying, “Stage 4 [Trump Derangement Syndrome].”

On Thursday, the word “Treason” began trending on X.
