Suspects Arrested After Carjacking Of Congresswoman

Four men and a woman have been arrested after the carjacking of Rep. Mary Gay Scanlon (D-PA) in Philadelphia on Wednesday. According to Fox 29, the suspects are in custody and awaiting charges after Scanlon’s SUV was discovered near a Delaware mall on Wednesday night. Scanlon was “physically unharmed” from the incident, according to a statement from her spokesperson. “She thanks the Philadelphia Police Department for their swift response, and appreciates the efforts of both the Sergeant at Arms in D.C. and her local police department for coordinating with Philly PD to ensure her continued safety,” the statement said.
