During an interview this week, Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis slammed Democrat President Joe Biden, saying that former President Jimmy Carter, who is considered by many to be one of the worst presidents in modern American history, was more successful than Biden. “They did everything they could to get Biden elected, the guy who campaigned from his basement,” DeSantis said. “They never asked any questions about that. A nonprofit law enforcement group believes that growing anti-police sentiment driven by the George Floyd riots is a large reason for the increase in killings. “We believe it’s a combination … of the George Floyd protests — riots, if you will; a general feeling

On Friday, former Vice President Mike Pence criticized former President Donald Trump during a speech at The Federalist Society for saying that Pence could have overturned the results of the 2020 election. “There are those in our party who believe that as the presiding officer of the joint session of Congress, that I possess unilateral authority to reject Electoral College votes,” Pence said. “And I heard this week that President Trump said I had the right to overturn the election.” “President Trump is wrong. I had no right to overturn the election,” Pence added. “The presidency belongs to the American
