We’re witnessing the death spiral of the Democratic Party as we know it. Nearly two-thirds of Democratic voters say it’s time for new leadership, as discontent simmers over the party’s direction and sinking approval ratings. According to a Reuters/Ipsos poll out Thursday, 62% of Democrats believe their leaders “should be replaced with new people”—more than double the 30% of Republicans who say the same about their own. Nearly half of Democrats—49 percent—are “unsatisfied” with party leaders, while 41 percent say they are “satisfied” and 10 percent are unsure, the poll found.
