The United States economy shrank at a 1.5% annual rate during the first quarter of 2022, according to a new report from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. The poor numbers were the worst since Gross Domestic Product (GDP) fell by 31.2% in the second quarter of 2020 due to lockdowns put in place during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 1.5% reduction was also worse than the 1.3% Dow Jones estimate and worse than the originally reported 1.4%. “Real gross domestic product (GDP) decreased at an annual rate of 1.5 percent in the first quarter of 2022,” the report states.

On Wednesday, Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed a bill banning abortions after conception – making it the strictest law in the country. “I promised Oklahomans that as governor I would sign every piece of pro-life legislation that came across my desk and I am proud to keep that promise today,” Stitt said in a statement Wednesday. “From the moment life begins at conception is when we have a responsibility as human beings to do everything we can to protect that baby’s life and the life of the mother,” he added. “That is what I believe and that is what the

There’s always been limitations.” Biden has previously been criticized for his repeated claimed that cannons were prohibited when the Second Amendment was passed. In 2021 the claim earned him “Four Pinocchios” from the Washington Post and in 2020

On Tuesday night, President Biden responded to the tragic shooting in Uvalde, Texas, that left at least 18 children, two adults, and the shooter dead. “As a nation, we have to ask when in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby? When in God’s name [are we going to] do what we all know in our gut needs to be done?” Biden asked. “I spent my career as a senator and as Vice President working to pass commonsense gun laws. We can’t and won’t prevent every tragedy.  But we know they work and have a positive
