It began, as so many dark things do now, on social media. Minnesota man Tyler Maxon Avalos offered $45,000 to anyone who killed Attorney General Pam Bondi. The words were chilling, almost absurd in their brazenness. The Department of Justice moved quickly. A fellow TikTok user had seen the post and reported it to the FBI on October 9. By the time agents traced the account, they had a screenshot in hand — a snapshot of malice. “The threatening post has a photograph of United States Attorney General (‘AG’) Pam Bondi, with a sniper-scope red dot on AG Bond’s forehead.

The stage was set with a banner that read simply: “Delivering Peace.” President Donald Trump presided over the signing of a historic ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia — a peace he personally helped shape after a brutal border clash this summer. The Kuala Lumpur Peace Accords, signed Sunday alongside the leaders of Thailand, Cambodia, and Malaysia, officially ended the five-day conflict that killed dozens and displaced hundreds of thousands. “On behalf of the United States, I’m proud to help settle this conflict and forge a future for the region,” Trump said — part diplomat, part dealmaker, his words landing with

Leavitt was armed not just with talking points, but with a folder of century-old photographs and the certainty of someone who’d done her homework. Jiang pressed hard, suggesting President Donald Trump believed he could “tear down whatever he wants” without oversight. Leavitt didn’t blink. “No, it’s something that presidents have done for years and years,” she said, pulling out photo after photo. “In fact, I

Stand Down or Stand Trial: Deputy AG Warns Golden State Lawmakers to Play Nice With ICE

It read like both a warning and a dare. U.S. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche sent a blistering letter Thursday to Gov. Gavin Newsom, Attorney General Rob Bonta, Rep. Nancy Pelosi, and San Francisco D.A. Brooke Jenkins, warning them to step back from interfering with federal immigration enforcement — or face the consequences. Blanche’s message was clear and cold: any attempt to arrest or impede federal officers enforcing immigration law is both “illegal and futile.” The clash erupted after Pelosi and Rep. Kevin Mullin issued a fiery statement Wednesday, threatening to arrest federal agents if they “break California law.” “Reports
