On Wednesday, Democrat President Joe Biden claimed that “things are going as planned” in regard to the negotiations with Republicans about raising the debt ceiling. McCarthy: Prepared To Charge FBI Director With Contempt Of Congress If He Doesn’t Turn Over Biden Document

On Tuesday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy warned FBI Director Christopher Wray that he could face contempt of Congress charges if the FBI continues to refuse to comply with a subpoena related to a possible criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden. House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer had subpoenaed the FBI earlier this month for a document that allegedly described a criminal scheme involving Biden and a foreign national exchanging money for policy decisions. The FBI responded by saying it would not comply with the subpoena.  McCarthy made his comments during an interview on “FOX & Friends” with Brian Kilmeade.

U.S. Economy Contracted 0.5% In First Quarter Of 2023

The United States economy contracted at an annual rate of 0.5 percent in the first quarter of 2023, which is the fourth quarter out of the last five with negative growth, according to new data from the Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA).
