What in the world is in the water over at MSNBC’s Morning Joe? Co-hosts and spouses Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough increasingly seem to be having daily nervous breakdowns right on camera.
There was screamin’ Joe the other day losing it completely in what even the left-wing Mediaite described as a “4-minute screaming tear” about President Trump.
This time around its Mika, and here is the headline from over at NewsBusters:
Emotional Brzezinski Pleads for Fox ‘Puppets’ to Rediscover Their ‘Goodness,’ ‘Objectivity’
The story by my NewsBusters colleague Scott Whitlock began this way:
“Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski went on an unhinged, emotional rant about Fox News on Friday, decrying the network as full of “puppets” who need to rediscover the “goodness” and “objectivity” inside them. Yes, someone on MSNBC said this. Apparently angry because Sean Hannity mocked her husband, Joe Scarborough, on Thursday night, Brzezinski fumed, ‘We often try and sort of stay away from our colleagues in the business, but Fox News has several puppets for this President constantly going on the air, constantly repeating what he says verbatim.”
Notice the plea for “goodness” and “objectivity”? This Mika rant, mind you, from a co-host on a network that has routinely pushed one loony conspiracy theory after another, not to mention comparing the President of the United States to Hitler, his supporters to Nazis, etc, etc, etc. So much for “goodness” and “objectivity.”
I understand Mika would want to defend husband Joe, but…just do it. Rationally. But between the two, not to mention some of their equally loony left-wing guests, they have become a study in emotional irrationality and sheer, blind hatred. MSNBC has spent the entire Trump term trying to undo the 2016 election.
It has to be said. The sheer foaming hatred spewing over the television airwaves at MSNBC and from Morning Joe, in particular, is nothing short of mind-boggling.
The hatred for the President, Fox and conservative media, in particular, is the real tell about why Mika and Joe seem daily on the mental edge, always just this close to a complete on-air mental breakdown. There is a reason.
Once upon a time, liberal media ruled the informational roost. Other than Bill Buckley’s National Review (founded in 1955) and R. Emmett Tyrrell’s The American Spectator (founded in 1967), that was about it for conservative media. Now, the liberal media dominance has vanished. There is Fox, Rush, Sean, Mark, all of local conservative talk radio, and one conservative internet site after another.
This story from Fox’s media reporter Brian Flood shows the real problem Mika is having. The headline:
Fox News Channel ratings for first quarter of 2020 are the highest in network history
Among other things, the story reports this:
“FOX & Friends” averaged 1.8 million viewers, topping CNN’s “New Day” and MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” combined.
Say again, FOX & Friends is beating the pants off Morning Joe and CNN’s New Day – combined! So what else to do other then…have an emotional meltdown? Have a Mika meltdown. Showcase the Mad Joe rants. These aren’t serious adults, these are five-year-olds stamping their feet in an ongoing daily temper tantrum.
It has to be said. The sheer foaming hatred spewing over the television airwaves at MSNBC and from Morning Joe, in particular, is nothing short of mind-boggling.
And pathetic. Leading to the obvious question: Just who is the real puppet? And just who goes on the air daily to constantly repeat the latest far-Left talking point?
