She’s out. Here’s the headline from Fox News:
Liz Cheney ousted from role as House GOP Conference chair; replacement still unclear
Cheney pledges to ensure Trump ‘never again gets anywhere near the Oval Office’ on her way out
The House Republicans took a voice vote and the Wyoming Congresswoman, who persisted in standing up for voter fraud because of her intense personal dislike of Donald Trump, was out.
It took a matter of minutes before Cheney said this:
“I will do everything I can to ensure that the former president never again gets anywhere near the Oval Office. We have seen the danger that he continues to provoke with his language. We have seen his lack of commitment and dedication to the Constitution, and I think it’s very important that we make sure whomever we elect, is somebody who will be faithful to the Constitution.”
Ya can’t make it up. In my own home state of Pennsylvania, Republican election observers were forced to use – literally – binoculars to observe the vote counting or were placed at least six feet from the counting stations – utterly unable to do their jobs. But that was just fine with Liz Cheney.
The Pennsylvania Secretary of State violated the Pennsylvania Constitution – but Cheney could not have cared less.
On and on and on went the obstruction in Pennsylvania of an honest, fair and constitutional election – and Liz Cheney went along with all of it.
Her Republican colleagues had finally had enough. One suspects her Wyoming constituents will do everything thing they can to make sure Liz Cheney never gets anywhere near public office again.
