During an interview with CBS News host Margaret Brennan on Sunday, Vice President Kamala Harris blamed former President Trump for the Biden administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan in August.

“You said you were last in the room on the decision in Afghanistan to pull out. You’ve talked about not abandoning allies,” Brennan said. “Do you feel personal responsibility for the chaos of that withdrawal?

“I fully supported the president’s decision to after what was taking on the fact of being an endless war, of pulling American troops out, and I think it’s really important to remember that the previous administration negotiated a deal with the Taliban, did not invite the Afghan government to be at the table, and negotiated a deal that- that required and promised as part of an agreement that we would pull out by the end of May,” Harris claimed. However, it should be noted that the Biden administration did not follow the Trump administration’s agreement.

“So, we were saddled with that responsibility based on an agreement between the United States and the Taliban,” Harris continued. “And so … we made the decision that if we were to break the agreement, it would have been a whole other situation, and right now I strongly believe that had we broken that agreement, we would be talking about the war in Afghanistan. And American troops in Afghanistan, and we’re not talking about that. I don’t regret that.”

The Biden administration’s withdrawal from Afghanistan was so disastrous that it prompted the State Department’s inspector general to launch a “series of investigations” into its handling, according to Politico.

The investigations included the Biden administration’s retaliatory drone strike after an ISIS-K terrorist killed 13 U.S. servicemembers in a suicide bombing at Bagram airport in Afghanistan.

The Biden administration’s drone strike was on a suspected ISIS member. However, according to a report from the New York Times, the man targeted was actually “Zemari Ahmadi, a longtime worker for a U.S. aid group.”

The Biden administration’s attack ended up killing 10 civilians, including 7 children, – and zero terrorists. The Biden administration originally claimed that there were no civilian casualties.
