Hollywood. The land of liberals, pro-government, and hypocrisy. Apparently, the social elites can’t quit their partying ways, even for safety. The very safety measures they support coming from their liberal mayors and governors don’t apply to them. The Hollywood Reporter states that “Los Angeles police and the city attorney’s office on Tuesday said house parties in the Hollywood Hills have become a big problem.”
House parties are apparently so rampant because the coronavirus has closed their lifeblood: clubs. Authorities made a video of police saying they will be forced to crack down even more on the social gatherings. Under the city’s Safer at Home orders, the gatherings should not be occurring at all.
The LAPD’s twitter account, @LAPDHollywood tweeted out the warning video with this message:
With bars & clubs closed due to COVID 19, we have seen an increase in calls for loud house parties in the Hollywood Hills. Our Senior Lead Officers as well as Ethan Weaver from the @CityAttorneyLA office put together a video with info on nuisance party laws in LA. pic.twitter.com/kGN5NG7IG6

In the video, one officer says “a major concern for the Los Angeles Police Department is when a party creates a disturbance for the neighborhood…screams at 3 a.m.” as well as “public intoxication and urination” in the Hills.
Ethan Weaver, prosecutor for the Hollywood division of the city attorney’s office said, “if police are called to a location of a party, there will be consequences.” Consequences could be directed towards not just “the person throwing the party, but they can also apply to you, the homeowner…if your house has been cited for party-house violations in the past, you as a property owner can be held responsible, even if you are not present.”
Pretty standard California behavior; citizens support and vote for liberal leadership so that they impose rules and regulations the very citizens say are necessary. Then said citizens completely ignore their leadership because they only want the rules to apply to others. And finally, consequences then often fall on people who had zero involvement.
