According to a Fox News report, Tennessee Senator Marsha Blackburn (R) is preparing a legislation package to support the Department of Government Efficiency’s efforts to cut trillions of dollars in government waste.

She calls it the DOGE Acts.

“I will be introducing legislation that coincides with @DOGE’s plan to make the federal government more efficient,” Blackburn said in a post on X.

“My DOGE Act will freeze federal hiring, begin the process to relocate agencies out of the D.C. swamp, and establish a merit-based salary system for the federal workforce,” Blackburn said.

A spokesperson for the senator later revealed that she plans to announce several of these bills, Fox reports.

“Senator Blackburn is planning to introduce a package of bills – known as the DOGE Acts – aimed at holding the federal government more accountable for managing taxpayer dollars next week,” Blackburn’s spokesperson said in a statement, the Hill reported. “The DOGE Acts coincides with Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy’s plan to make the federal government more efficient.”

Both Musk and Ramaswamy were on the Hill this week meeting with lawmakers and discussing plans to address rampant government waste.

Blackburn isn’t the only Republican Senator ready to work with DOGE.

Iowa Senator Joni Ernst, who leads the DOGE Caucus in the Senate, dropped a report this week on telework abuse by federal employees.

“There are thousands of other government buildings around the country sitting totally vacant and unused,” the report states. “Much of this is leased space.

“There is a simple answer,” the report continues. “Use it or lose it!”

“Not a single headquarters of a major agency or department in the nation’s capital is even half full,” Ernst’s report said. “Government buildings average an occupancy rate of 12%.”
