A chilling discovery near President Donald Trump’s Air Force One exit area has federal investigators on edge — and a nation reminded of how fragile safety can be.

The FBI is deploying every “forensic tool” it has to investigate a hunting stand found overlooking Trump’s flight path at Palm Beach International Airport, Deputy Director Dan Bongino confirmed Monday.

“[Secret Service was] very concerned,” Bongino said on Fox & Friends, describing how agents spotted the structure during a routine security sweep.

FBI Director Kash Patel immediately ordered an emergency response.

“I believe we had our plane flown down there. This hunting stand was appropriately dismantled. It’s being flown to our lab,” Bongino said. “I believe it’s there right now, and all the forensic tools we have, from digital tools to biometric tools, are all going to be applied to try to find out who put this up there and why.”

Agents discovered the structure last Thursday — just before Trump’s scheduled return to West Palm Beach. Patel told Fox News Digital that no suspects were found at the scene.

On Fox & Friends, co-host Lawrence Jones noted a disturbing pattern: a series of sniper-related attacks in recent years — the 2024 assassination attempt against Trump, and the murder of Turning Point USA co-founder Charlie Kirk.

Bongino said the Secret Service has already expanded its security perimeter and reinforced its protective measures.

“I think you saw the modifications with the discovery of this hunting stand set up in the tree outside of West Palm Beach,” he said. “This is a zero-fail mission… You can’t have a mistake here… I’ve been a Secret Service agent and now an FBI agent and with the NYPD. I can tell you, this is one of those missions where there’s no do-overs.”

In an age of constant threats and political fury, the discovery is more than a security breach — it’s a symbol.
A reminder that vigilance never sleeps, and that for the men sworn to protect a president, failure is not an option.
